In 2007 the Higher Education
Accreditation Commission was established as a legal entity, administratively
and financially independent, attached to the Prime Minister.
The HEAC’s aim is to upgrade the
Jordanian Higher Education Institutions’ performance and strengthen their
competitiveness at regional, national and global level with the main goal to ensure
the application of Jordanian regulations and accreditation, quality assurance
standards in compliance with those in developed countries.
